Epoxy Color Flake has been the standard in garage flooring
for many years. It has also found its way into other areas of
homes or businesses with great success.
Our Color Flake System consists of four layers of products.
The first layer is a colored 100% solid epoxy applied
over properly prepared concrete. This is the "foundation" to
your floor and a quality product in this step is crucial to
lasting results.
We do not use water based epoxies!
The difference is incredible when it comes to the life and
durability of your coating. Both types of epoxies may look
similar, but the differences are night and day!
For example, we put the competition's water based epoxy next
to our 100% solid epoxy for a side by side comparison.
We mixed both products, according to the manufacturer's specs,
and placed them in sealed 1 qt. containers. 24 hours later both
containers were opened; the water based epoxy had the
appearance of cottage cheese. It did not cure. Our solid epoxy
on the other hand was hard as a rock!
A year later, the competition's product is STILL wet and will
NEVER cure!
In our process, while the first layer is still wet, the color chips
are broadcast across the entire floor. This process is called
"flake to refusal" and the reason so many chips are used is
for the proper texture on the surface and to hide any small
imperfections in the concrete, it creates a slightly rough textured
surface that is still very easy to clean.
The next two coatings are clear coats. This top coats are what
really set us apart from the competition; we strongly
feel our products are the best clear coat available today. It
simply does not stain or yellow and is resistant to any
chemicals and fluids found in a normal home or garage.
We apply two layers of this coating simply because it makes
for a better looking, stronger floor.
